More Bahamas

 The kids loved looking at the fish (so did the adults) so we were sure to walk past as many as possible every day.  

 If you blow up the picture you can see creepy eels in the pots that reminded us of the eels on Little Mermaid.

 Apparently this is the real entrance to Atlantis, complete with a special tunnel under the water just for the hotel guests.

 The kids wanted to pose with every random statue of a sea creature.

 We were sad there were no giant manta rays this time - they were apparently released into the wild a while back.  There were still some fun smaller ones to look at and plenty of other fish in the giant tank.

 The sawfish were fun to see.  Such a strange looking fish.

  Walking around outside there are a ton of little ponds, this one had sea turtles.

Bahamas

My parents decided to take every couple on a gradutation trip when the finished college.  They decided after we had already graduated, so this year we took our trip.  We were supposed to go to New York and Washington DC, just the adults, but instead we convinced them to take our kids and opted for a trip to the Bahamas.  It was so fun and the kids loved it!

 We arrived on Sunday so we decided to just walk around the resort.  The kids were in awe of the giant sculptures everywhere and just the giant size of the Atlantis resort.

 This was in "The Dig."  It is a big tunnel with a ton of fish tanks. 

 That night at dinner we got pizza and ate it by the water.  We passed it out and as we were waiting for it to cool a little a seagull flew in and stole a piece of pepperoni right off of Grace's slice.  We were much more protective of our food from then on :)

 I don't remember what night this was, but we were wandering some of the little shops.  I love the brightly colored buildings.

 Waiting for the Cartoon Network parade to start.  They obviously have some sort of deal with Atlantis right now because there was a big Cartoon Network kids area at the resort too.

 This was the entire parade.  I think they had five or so characters, to women dancing and carrying the sign, and a couple of instruments.  Everybody joined in and followed the "parade" down to the end of the street and danced.  Not real eventful, but still fun.

 Another night in the little shops, this time waiting for dinner at the Italian restaraunt.  It was delicious and I think all of the kids actually ate dinner that nignt (Grace was picky the whole time and didn't eat much).

 More resort touring.  We went to a part that we hadn't been to before.  There were more ponds with turtles, sting rays, and other fun fish, plus more giant architecture.

Tired from so much walking.  They were pretty good about all of our wandering around the resort.  We walked several miles a day just getting to and from the slides, looking at fish, and going to the hotel and back.
