New Toy

We decided to get a little vacuum to use on our stairs. Kyle was so excited! He tried it out when we got it home, then we had to charge it. He said he was thankful for it in his prayers last night, and thankful he got to try it, then waited all day today for it to be ready to go. As soon as it was he was off and vacuuming. He had a friend over and the only time they fought was over who got to use it first. Lets hope the enthusiasm lasts.

Update

I have been a little MIA on the blog lately, but I'm back. Here is what we've been up to in the past few weeks.Evan turned 6! He decided to go with a Lego theme this year, so for his grandparent party Brandon made him a giant Lego cake.
He got this race track which the boys still play with every day. Even the grandpas thought it was fun at the party.
At his friend party he decided the Lego wouldn't cut it and he needed Brandon to make a Lego man. Lucky for him Brandon was willing.
The friends at his first ever friend party. We played a few games, colored, opened presents, and ate cake. He loved every minute of it!

We decided to let him ride the bus to school with the other kindergartners (we pick him up). On the way to school it is just kids from his class and he loves it. That is him and his buddy Haley who he does everything with currently.
I took a trip to Chicago with Grace and my mom to visit my siblings. While I was gone the boys built a shed in the backyard. They had a fabulous time helping Daddy with their project and I am very glad to now have the yard stuff out of the garage.

We're In Trouble

Grace has been cruising the furniture for weeks now. Yesterday, thanks to a scary face from Uncle Norm, she decided to give actual walking a try (in an attempt to get away from scary Norm). This is her today. She thinks she can go anywhere now.
Sorry she is completely immodest. Her shirt was bugging her earlier and she decided to take it off. We decided not to fight it and she's been topless for the past hour.

Kindergarten

Afternoon kindergarten is going to be a killer. Evan was ready to go bright and early and then the waiting started. I let them watch a movie to try to pass the time (we may be watching a lot of movies while we adjust to this). I love that they both have the same pose.
So excited to finally use his backpack!
His first day outfit. He picked this out weeks ago. I can't wait to see what he picks tomorrow.
Lined up outside waiting for his teacher. They all looked excited, but a little nervous about what was going on. Once she came out though, he didn't even give me a wave, just walked in to class like a big kid.
Poor Kyle's reaction to dropping off his buddy. He started crying as we left the school and it took him a while to stop. I think he asked me 100 times if it was time to go get Evan, and he was only gone 2.5 hours. I'm sure it will get easier, but today I felt really bad for him.
