Big Puppy

Molly is pretty well integrated into the family at this point. Her birthday was on the 7th according to her papers, so she got some new tennis balls to fetch. She is a big goofy girl with a ton of energy, but she is super sweet with the kids.  She knocks the little kids over when she is excited, but she is very patient with the very aggressive love that Grace gives her.

Swimming Lessons

The boys did another round of swimming lessons this summer and they improved a lot.  Evan worked on breast stroke, back stroke, and crawl stroke with the proper breathing and kicking.  Seems kind of crazy at 6 but he did awesome.  He was definitely the youngest and smallest in his class but that didn't stop him.

He did his lessons in the diving pool and even got to jump off of the diving board and swim to the side with no help.  It scared me at first but he did great!

This was Kyle's first year in the pool by himself.  I'm not sure he ever spoke to anyone, but he followed directions and had fun, and most kids didn't talk.
He worked on back floating and the beginning of back and crawl stroke. He even stuck his face in the water and jumped in from the side by the end.

Brandon's B-day

We started off the day with a patriotic parade.  It was alright, but it won't be a tradition.  No bands and very little candy thrown.  We will have to keep looking.
Then we played on the lake.  Evan is turning into a pretty good kayaker, and Kyle did some paddling all by himself.
Grace being her funny self.
A quick boat ride around the lake.  Molly is starting to really like the boat I think.
Then we had trifle with imaginary candles, a delicious steak dinner, and watched fireworks while we ate smores.  All in all I'd say he had a pretty good day, and we had a good day celebrating with him.

Buddies

Toward the end of the school year this two started to be pretty good buddies.  Lets hope that holds up next year since Evan will be gone all day.
