Last September we started looking for a dog again. Grace was asking for Molly back constantly, and the boys both wanted a dog. After Evan had his seizure, he really wanted a dog so it could sleep in his room and alert us if he has another one. The week after that we got a cute little bichon named Charlie - who then went on to bite several people in the first few days and we returned him. While in Hawaii I was still checking websites, and we found a litter of cavachon (bichon and cavalier spaniel) puppies we wanted to check out. Two days after we got home, this happened.
These aren't from when we first got him, so he looks a little biger here. When we brought him home he was a whopping 3.5 lbs.
My dad and the boys built these gates to lock Finn in the dining room while we worked on potty training. Worked great til about 2 weeks ago when he learned to jump the gates. Luckily he is doing well with the housetraining.
Such a tired dog. He sleeps like this, or on his back. Very odd.
What he looks like wet. He is mostly hair (and it is hair, no shedding which is awesome).
When wet he looks like a spaniel.
Dry he looks more like a cotton ball.
So much hair you can't even see his eyes.
He is up to 9 pounds now at 4.5 months of age, so he will never be a big dog. He is also pretty lazy which works ou great. The kids adore him and love for him to give them a lick in the face before bed - we think its gross but whatever. Welcome to the family Finn.

He's adorable! I'm with you on the face licks - I adore my dogs but can't stand it when they lick me.
