Cute Hair

We are finally getting the hang of Grace's new hair-do. This was actually Brandon's creation.

This is the face we get whenever we ask her to say cheese.

I love that she is just playing with an empty bottle of coke. Poor kid apparently couldn't find her toys. She went to the doctor yesterday for her official 18 month appointment.

Organization Project

Our small filing cabinet seemed to be overflowing since we moved into this house. After looking on craigslist for months, we finally found a good deal on one.It resulted in this. Our cleaning out every file we had, and putting everything in chronological order. After a big fat mess and a few hours on Monday we now have this...

The files are even alphabetized in there, and in hanging folders. Our old ones didn't hang, so this is much improved. Oh how I love organization.

18 Months

This was our sweet baby girl one year ago today.

This is her today. I decided to try to recreate the picture for a comparison. She was busy playing travel Yahtzee.

This was as close as I got. I can't believe how much she has grown, and how much more hair she has.

My attempt to get a cute 18 month picture. Her hair looked pretty good this morning, as it does most mornings. Then Grace got to it. She pulled out the cute bows, and the hair in pony tails that they were in. I tried to recreate it, but she wasn't having it, so instead we got this 80's sort of side pony tail and a clip to hold the rest of it back. Oh well. We love our crazy Gracie!

Once There Was a Snowman

This was at Family Home Evening Monday night. Kyle was in charge of music this week (we rotate) and at one point decided to do a solo of "Once There Was a Snowman." This was "tall, tall, tall."

Followed by "small, small, small."

First Haircut

This is Grace 2 nights ago, enjoying some popcorn and being crazy.

Note the crazy mullet like hair. Sorry, I can't find a shot from the back. Brandon finally agreed it was looking shaggy and I could go get it cut.

Here she is after her first haircut. We are still growing out the bangs, so they are long, but pulled up they are pretty stinking cute. She was really good for the cut, which I was worried about. She sat still and listened to 2 other little kids scream.

Big Girl Room

We finished Grace's room this week, so here is the big reveal. The bedroom set was my great-grandma's. Brandon made new drawer handles to give it more of a little girl look. Even with the two rails she has still managed to wiggle her way out of the bed twice. No wonder she hated her crib, she is on the go even while she sleeps.

A close up of one of the flowers above her bed. Brandon painted these and my dad cut them out. He even came up with multiple designs and had the people at work vote on their favorite. This was it and I love it!

My mom made the cute valances for us out of a bedskirt. Very cost effective and cute. The name letters and bookshelf were from her old bedroom.

The handles for the big dresser. Brandon made these too. Very tricky to spray paint things like this we learned.

Just a cute pic of Grace in a new dress today. My parents bought this for her in Germany I think before we were even pregnant with her. I thought it would be way to big on her, but its not. Guess what she will be wearing to church the next few weeks.
