Boise in February

Brandon's grandma, Lucy Stucki, passed away in February. She and Brandon's grandpa are some of the nicest people I've ever met, and we were glad to be able to arrange things so that we could head to her funeral.  It was fun seeing so many family members and getting a chance to remember her and honor her life.
Evan was very excited to be almost as tall as his great-grandpa.  He may catch him by the time we visit next.
The Sunday we were there we decided to go see the local temples.  We saw the grounds where the new Meridian temple will go, and then saw the Boise temple.  The kids enjoyed looking around the grounds.

After the temple we did the mandatory tour of Boise - just like I always did growing up.  Mom gave us the wrong street for her old house, but in our searching we found Grace Street.
 Mom's elementary school.
Random flower clothing on a stop sign.

Grandpa and all of his kids.
Cousin fun.  Our kids loved having time with Brian and Ann's kids.

No Stucki gathering is complete without a little barbershop.  Grandpa had fun singing with these guys.  It was super cute.  Hoping to get more barbershopping on video this summer.

The night before we headed home we went over to Papa and Grandma Sherry's for dessert and games.

So fun to finally see where the live, and to know we can make the drive without anyone getting car sick. It was such a great trip and opportunity to let our kids get to know some extended family.  It's helped make us all more excited for the family reunion this summer.
