Missing Teeth

Kyle lost his first tooth October 20th (I know I'm behind).  He announced on Wednesday or so during breakfast that it was wiggly.  He has made similar announcements several times before, but I checked and sure enough.  After wiggling and wiggling it Saturday morning it was very loose.  He wanted my dad to pull it, but I convinced him to let me try once.  By the time I grabbed tissue the tooth had fallen out and was sitting in his lip.  He was shocked and so excited!  Now he has another loose one and can't wait for it to come out too.

Pumpkins

Here is what we came up with this year.
Kyle wanted a skeleton with an eye patch.
Grace wanted an owl.  Grace and Kyle both picked designs to match their costumes.
Evan's is Bowser from Super Mario.  He did the majority of it himself this year, and it looks awesome.
Brandon's is an angry Jack Skellington, and mine is a cute face I found online, apparently called Horace.  A very long ,but fun evening of carving.

Baptism Day

Today was a big day at our house.  When Evan turned 8 he decided he wanted to be baptized a member of our church, and today was the day he got to do it.
He was up early with no complaints and very excited.  He looked so cute in his little jumpsuit.

Kyle and Grace both decided today that they are very excited to be baptized.  Grace even announced mid program that "I need to get baptized!"
These three, along with the kids of the other 2 families with kids being baptized sang "I Belong to The Church of Jesus Christ."  It was cute.

Papa Stucki and Grandma Sherry got to come
Grammie and Gramps
 Grandma Jean
Grandma and Grandpa (Grandpa did the talk on the Holy Ghost)

Grace was done with pictures so Aunt Katie got her picture once we got home.
Cute baby Paige (or Paigey-Paige as she is known at our house).  I still can't believe he is 8 and old enough to have been baptized.  It was a great day though, and one I think Evan is going to remember.

Haircut

Grace has really long hair, and she moves around a lot so it is hard to photograph.
She hates to have it brushed so we decided to go get it cut last week.

They took off about 3 inches and it has made a huge difference.  She obviously thinks she is pretty cute because she now demands we blow dry it most days and put something in it to keep it out of her eyes.  Hooray for a good haircut!

Evan Turns 8

Evan had a family/friend party this past Saturday.  I think 10 children in our house overwhelmed the grandparents who were here, but Evan loved it.  Next time we are doing separate parties though.
He opted for Beyblade cupcakes this year, and luckily didn't make Brandon attempt to decorate each one as a Beyblade.  This was a last minute compromise and it was perfect.

For his actual birthday he got to attend his first den meeting for Cub Scouts.  He has been looking forward to Cub Scouts since he turned 7 so getting to start on his birthday was perfect.  I still can't believe he is 8 already.  Happy Birthday Evan!

School Time Again

 First day of 2nd grade!

 First day of Kindergarten!
He was so excited to pick out his own backpack - and picked out one almost identical to Evan's.
We were nervous he was going to have a hard time going to school by himself, but he did great.
He looked a little nervous getting ready to head in, but he did and after school said he loved it and was going back the next day.

He is now braving riding the bus (can you tell the weather changed this past week)
The first day he rode he had me meet the bus at the school just to be sure it went okay.
Yesterday he just hopped on and was off to school.  This is him with his friend Grace.  I still can't believe he is old enough for school, but I'm so glad the transition has gone so well for him.  Such a relief!

Camping

The Friday before school started we decided to try one more night of camping.
We did a lot of "hiking"
 Tried out the paddle boats
Got really dirty and fell a lot, and cried.
I didn't take any pictures, but randomly Brandon's brother had reserved the spot across from us so we had cousins to play with.  We came very close to a trip without puking.  Grace saw us take down the tent the next day about 1, and I guess it just triggered her need to throw-up.  Oh well, still fun.
