Cute Boy and Snood

I feel like it has been forever since I posted anything, so first just a pic of Kyle I thought was cute. He is getting to be such a big boy now. He has lots to say and is becoming much more independent and entertaining himself. Today he learned to pull a chair up to the counter so he could reach the jar of chocolates, take the lid off, and then open them up. He ate quite a few while I was showering. Apparently I need a new spot for the chocolates.
Second, this one is for you Laura. In college my roommate and I played Snood...a lot. This morning I introduced Evan to the joy that is playing Snood. I think I may have a future addict on my hands. I know from experience this game is quite addicting.

What to do if your toys are too loud

Kyle said his toy was too loud, but he was feeling resourceful and came up with this solution.

Dinner

I've heard several terms used to describe this California Tacos truck. Some call it simply, "the taco truck", there's also affectionately "the roach coach." I simply call it grubbin'. I have found that people have reservations about frequenting this type of establishment (of course, you could argue whether you could call it an establishment since it is on wheels.) But hands down, it's the best and most authentic Mexican food you can find in town. There is always a line at this place. You can tell they are doing well because they've installed little speaker on the side of the van where you order and it plays Rancho music, complete with accordion... awesome.
I usually have the "Asada Burrito" which is about 5 bucks (75 cents more for a dollop of sour cream) and so big that I sometimes can't finish it. Seriously, I've eaten there about fifty times and haven't gotten sick once. Becca loves it too. Kyle was munching on my burrito till he got a spicy bite. And you have to love the glass bottles.

Slumber Party

Nick Jr. has been advertising The Wonderpets Join the Circus for a couple of weeks now it seems. Evan was so excited because he knew it was getting close, so Monday night I decided to make a party of it and we busted out the sleeping bags.
Here are the boys watching their much anticipated show. I thought it was a let down since it was still only a 30 minute show, but they loved it.Afterward Evan requested that they have a sleep over in the living room so I let them. They switched beds for some reason, (they kept trying to share a sleeping bag and I kept splitting them up) but after falling asleep kind of late to cartoons they slept pretty well. I'm sure we'll be doing it many more times as they get older.

New Shelves

We are in the process of moving the two boys into the same room in preparation for our new arrival. To accommodate the ever expanding collection of toys and children's books, we got a new shelving unit. We were inspired with the idea when we saw them at Doug's house (thanks Doug) and then again (in a different color) at Andrea's. We had been debating building them versus buying them. Building them turned out to be potentially more expensive, so we went to IKEA yesterday and threw it together. We love them.

Apparently he is a gangsta at heart.

He earned his trophy

This is the first shot of the game, and the first shot he made all season. He ended up with 6 points today, it would have been 8 but one of his teammates blocked one of his shots.
