It's Always Something New
Occasionally Evan swallows his gum. Usually he spits it out, so I figured a piece of gum consumed now and then was no big deal. That was until today. He climbed up and got himself a fresh pack of gum while we were at my parents today. I thought nothing of it as he took a piece for himself and shared with me. He was so excited about his pack of gum that he was carrying it around the house. As we prepared to leave we noticed gum wrappers everywhere and after some questioning discovered that he had swallowed 7 or 8 pieces of gum. I'm sure his stomach is really happy right now. We called the doctor (as we contemplated his obstructed bowel and what they might need to do to fix that) and for now it is lots of fluids and check back if he seems constipated. We have had a very long talk about not swallowing gum. Here's to hoping it all comes out okay....literally.Wednesday, November 5, 2008

Pumpkins and Trunk-or-Treating
We finally carved our pumpkins Friday night.
Our friends/neighbors came with us this year and the boys loved it. I love this picture of Kyle and Reese as they both refuse to look at the camera. "Camera, what camera, I don't see a camera."
Batman and his princess. Evan had fun showing Camryn around (we got there before them) and demonstrating how to do all of the different games before giving her a turn. He even walked with his hand behind her back guiding her to their next adventure.
When the trunk-or-treating finally started Kyle didn't get it at first. He did a few trunks then decided to eat a lollipop while I carried him to the rest. After watching Evan clean up on candy (he didn't get any while being carried) he took off on his own. He went over to the car next to us and hit them up for 6 or 7 pieces I think. This is him dragging back his loot.
