Birthday Boy

Kyle got to celebrate his birthday twice this year. Really as soon as my birthday was over he insisted we leave up the birthday sign because it was his birthday, so he's been celebrating all month. The Thursday before his birthday we partied with my side of the family. When he woke up that morning he got this new shirt. He loves Lego Batman so he was pretty pumped and changed immediately.
He was hilarious opening presents that night. He said everything was awesome or cool but didn't stop to open packaging or anything, just on to the next gift like an assembly line. He did get them all out once he was done getting them all unwrapped.
The cake he picked. He wanted a Diego cake, with cookies, and animals. The pile of Oreos on the side are rocks, and the animals are the ones he picked for Diego to rescue. I was going to place them more on top of the cake, but Kyle placed them all and pushed them in for more of a stuck in the mud look. Do you love the random poodle in front?
Once he finally got the candles out. He needed help because his attempts kept blowing his bangs in the air and nothing at the candles.
Here he is the morning of his actual birthday. Such a cute 3 year old! We were at the family reunion with Brandon's family and he loved it. He got to spend time with all of his cousins on that side of the family and his "big cousins" were so nice to him.
Here is his pinata "Linda the Llama." Everyone thought it was funny that we picked a pink donkey for a pinata, but he was convinced it was a Llama and that fit with his Diego theme.
He got the first few hits, and you can see the line of little kids behind him ready for the next ones. The destroyed that poor llama, but the candy was delicious.
3 Year Stats
36 lbs (85th%)
38.5 inches (70th%)
51.5 cm head circumference (85th%)
He is one funny boy with his chirping instead of talking, glares, and refusal to talk in public. Once you get him comfortable though he is all smiles and laughs. Seeing both sides of him makes me laugh and we wouldn't want him any other way.

He is so cute and I just love the cake. I'm beginning to think boys may be easier...
